Purpose
This is a multi-faceted role acting as the primary point of contact for Thompsons Australia and providing a variety of administrative and personal assistance functions, as well as, taking a primary role in the smooth operation and marketing of the business.
Report
The position will report to Sue Cunningham, HR Consultant, but also support other team members including bookkeepers, accountants and Greg Thompson, Director.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Ability to work autonomously with a proactive manner and with proven initiative
- Minimum 2 years previous general office or support experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing functions
- Intermediate to Advanced level Microsoft office suite
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Previous reception experience
- Previous experience in a professional office environment
- Previous marketing support experience
- Previous conference centre experience
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone and personal enquiries in a professional manner
- Act as central contact within Sydney office
- Direct or deal with enquiries as appropriate
- Follow-up conference centre enquiries and registrations including drafting of relevant correspondence
- Track conference centre registrations and confirmations
- Communicating with conference centre delegates
- Provide support to conference centre delegates on day of usage ie arrange refreshments, ensure room is set up and is in order
- Provide support to other team members including bookkeepers, accountants and Greg Thompson as required (includes diary management)
- Attend to incoming and outgoing mail
- Develop and produce Marketing Reports as directed
- Distribution of Marketing Communications as directed
- Produce Monthly Management Reports as directed
- Maintain office in a tidy and professional manner (includes kitchen, emptying bins etc)
- Arrange service calls etc as appropriate
- Manage and reconcile petty cash
- Archiving- ensure documents are scanned and filed electronically (and on paper if appropriate)
- Liaison and management of uniform supplies
- Database management
- Undertake daily computer shut down and back-up
Core Hours
8.30 to 5.00 pm Wednesday to Tuesday (5 day fortnight).
Salary Range
Circa $32,000- $40,000 per annum including Superannuation (full-time equivalent).

Group training Manager
Purpose
This is an autonomous role, the purpose of which is to manage and develop the Training Business for Beancounter Australia.
Report
The position will report to Greg Thompson.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Ability to work autonomously with proven initiative
- Minimum 2 years previous bookkeeping experience, at least ICB Level 3.
- Minimum 2 years training experience
- Financial Services qualifications at least Certificate 3 TAFE
- Workplace Training & Assessment qualifications minimum Certificate 4
- Proven expertise in developing training courses
- Strong communication skills
- Professional presentation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing functions
- Advanced MYOB
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Understanding of IT course offerings
- Intermediate to Advanced level Microsoft office suite
- Previous experience in business or business unit management
Responsibilities
- Manage the Training business unit to achieve agreed financial and qualitative goals
- Manage the delivery of Training Courses (face to face, online and correspondence)
- Maintain accreditation standards as required by ICB and Chamber of Commerce
- Maintain high level of MYOB knowledge and practical application
- Assist in the marketing of Thompsons Australia and Beancounter Australia
- Conduct accreditation tests including assessment of results
- Monitor and report student performance
Core Hours
This position is part-time circa 2 days per week.
Salary Range
Subject to calibre of successful candidate, but as a guide, circa $60,000-90,000 full time equivalent. Remuneration arrangements will also include performance bonus.

We are seeking a senior person to take responsibility for record keeping functions of a range of businesses in a variety of industries. There is some flexibility as to this role being full time or part time. In this role you will work with a supervisor in relation to workflow management and review at month end.
Position Description
You will work autonomously on, and in, individual businesses and will be responsible for record keeping and associated functions including but not limited to:

Accounts Payable: |
- Processing from invoices and source records.
- Processing payments and arranging payments.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations.

Month end reporting |

Requirements:
Essential
- Minimum 4 years Australian experience in work environments
performing the above functions. Prepared to complete ICB exam and be successful at Level 2 or above.

- Current Australian driver’s licence and car.
- MYOB experience in current versions. Quickbooks experience
an advantage in current versions.
